Call for applications for the academic year 2018-2019

A new postgraduate program with title Modern Wireless Communications, will begin by the department of Informatics and Telecommunications of the University of Peloponnese in the academic year 2018-2019. It is the first program that is issued by the University of Peloponnese according to the 4485/2017 Greek law about establishment or re-establishment, and it is based on the more than ten (10) years of experience that has been gained from the former and foremost postgraduate program of the University of Peloponnese.

The new program has one year duration and does not have fees (free of charge). It targets on the education and training of university, engineering and polytechnic graduates on wireless systems and next-generation networks. Graduates who will be accepted as postgraduate students should have a high-level background on relevant scientific fields, so as to able to focus on 5G mobile communications technologies and gain not only theoretical, but also practical, experience by means of laboratory exercises. The program has been designed so as graduates to be easily absorbed by Greek and international telecommunications market. Moreover, it stands as an entryway to research for the pursuing PhD studies after graduation.

In the program teach university professors by the department of Informatics and Telecommunications with remarkable research record and experience from industry who cover a wide spectrum of contemporary wireless communications (from transmission technology to mobile application development). Therefore, the program has a coherent and intense set of courses aiming to provide all required knowledge to students within an academic year.

For the academic year 2018-2019 and by aiming on quality, the maximum number of selected students will be fifteen (15). The selection will be based on criteria that have been publicly announced at the program website (see Selection Criteria). The application period begins on 18th of June 2018 and closes on 19th of Aug 2018 2nd of Sept 2018. Interviews will be taken place in Tripolis, Greece between 29-31th of August 2018 5-7th of September 2018 and the final selection list will be announced on 14th of Sept 2018.
